Biography :
Dr. Ahmed Boutejdar obtained his Ph.D. degree (with highest honors) in electrical engineering from the Otto-von-Guericke university, Magdeburg, Germany in 2011. He received the Bachelor of Science B.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Physics from both universities Technische Hochschule Köthen, Germany and from Ibn Tofeil University, Kénitra, Morocco between 1991 and 1995. He received B.Sc and Diplom-Eng degrees (with highest honors) in Electrical Engineering, Communication, and Microwave Engineering from Otto-von-Guericke university, Magdeburg, Germany in 2002 and 2004 respectively. His research interests include microwave planar filters, microstrip antennas design, applied electromagnetics, metamaterial and MEMS-technology.
Dr. Boutejdar has authored over 202 papers in reputable international journals and conferences. Currently his number of citations reached 2270 times according to google scholar with an h-index of 25 and 1686 times according to Scopus with an h-index of 25. He is reviewer at several prestigious scientific journals and conferences including IEEE MTT, IEEE MOTL, IEEE PIERS, IET, JMOe, MWCL, ACES and EuMW. Moreover, Dr. Boutejdar attended, presented in, organized, and chaired various SCOPUS indexed conferences in several countries, including, Germany, France, UK, Italy, Morocco, Netherlands and USA. He has supervised and co-supervised numerous Ph.D. and Master’s students.

Dr. Deepanraj Balakrishnan is currently working as Research Faculty in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University, Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Deepanraj received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master’s Degree in Thermal Engineering from Anna University, Chennai and Ph.D degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Calicut. He also completed his MBA in Energy Management from Jaipur National University. He has more than10 years of working experience, which include both teaching and research.
Dr. Deepanraj has published more than 250 research articles in peer reviewed international journals and conferences and holds 2 Indian patents. He is serving as guest editor, editorial board member and reviewer for many international peer reviewed journals including well known publishers like Elsevier, Springer and Inderscience. His area of interest includes Renewable Energy Utilization; Energy Conservation and Waste Management with special focus on Bio-Energy.

Biography :
Ahmed Lakhssassi received the B.Eng. and M.Sc. A in electrical engineering from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR), Québec, Canada in 1988 and 1990 respectively. He also received the Ph.D. in Energy and Material sciences in 1995 from INRS-Énergie et Matériaux (Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique), Québec, Canada. At the same year also, he had become a professor of Electro-thermo-mechanical aspects at NSERC -Hydro-Quebec Industrial Research Chair at Electrical Engineering Department of the UQTR, where, for several years, he conducted Electro-thermal research projects. Since 1998, he has been with UQO (Université du Québec en Outaouais), where he is currently titular professor and responsible of the LIMA laboratory (Avanced Microsystem Engineering Laboratory) developing IP core and embedded algorithms for microsystems thermo-mechanical sensors dedicated for thermal peak detection. His research interest is the fields of bio-heat thermal modeling such as heat diffusion in biological tissues, metabolic heat generation and external interactions, heat transfer mechanism in biological tissues for thermal therapeutic practices including dedicated bio-implantable puce design for cancer thermal dose control. Furthermore, his research interest is in machine learning to recognize the type of pain and to quantify the amount of pain to tracks any potential injury using neural networks and thermal image processing. Also, his research interest is in Design of Fully Automated tool for Porting Analog and Mixed signal circuits within Different Technology nodes. Dr. Lakhssassi is senior member of IEEE, the OIQ (Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec, Canada), NanoQuébec and has more than twenty-three years' experience with a large expertise with applications in the fields of Electro-Thermo-mechanical analysis for electronic and microelectronics system design. Professor Lakhssassi in a regular member of ReSMiQ (Strategic Alliance in Microsystems of Québec) the largest research center in microelectronics funded by the Government of Québec. He is the author/co-author of more than 300 scientific publications and research report, and thesis advisor of 105 graduate and undergraduate students who completed their studies.
